Justice in Action

Explore social justice issues by engaging with local community organizations and projects. Build relationships with these organizations and other team members. This is an intergenerational experience for high school students, young adults, families, and others—some locations and topics may have age appropriate considerations.

Past Justice in Action Events:

  • Peace Vigil for Closing the School of the Americas
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service
  • Exploring Identity … with photographer Wing Young Huie and his latest work “The University Avenue Project”

Presentation and a Pint

Presentation and a Pint is an opportunity to attend and discuss presentations on topics of spirituality and justice. We mainly attend presentations of renowned speakers when they visit the Twin Cities area; some have included Sisters Joan Chittister, Simone Campbell, and Helen Prejean. Following the presentation we then enjoy some refreshment and further conversation at a local establishment. If you know of a quality speaker upcoming, let us know by contacting Jill by e-mail or at 651-696-2873.
