Community Engagement

Community Engagement creates pathways to learn about and belong with CSJ mission, spirituality, and community.

We walk with people discerning Sister membership and association (Consociate, Friend of St Joseph, and Agrégée). We develop spaces for community building by leading and supporting education, mission engagement, and spirituality offerings. With a focus on outreach and inclusion, we welcome all to find a place of belonging within the CSJ mission. Learn about our upcoming events!

Ways to Engage

Food Access Hub

The Food Access Hub is a collaboration between the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and St. Catherine University to address food insecurity, nutrition, and personal wellness needs within and beyond our communities. The Food Access Hub encompasses the food shelf at 1890 Randolph, a network of community gardens, and several different sustainability initiatives on both campuses.

Spiritual Direction

Spiritual Direction nurtures a deeper relationship with the spiritual aspect of being human in relationship with the divine. Persons seeking direction share stories of their encounters of the divine, or how they are experiencing spiritual issues. The Christian practice of spiritual direction dates back to the third and fourth centuries when people sought the wisdom of the desert mystics.
